When class began there were stars and clouds on the sides of the balance beam. Up to this point in class we were jumping over whatever shape was put on the beam. Danny took them all and put them back onto the beam and tried jumping over them. We tried doing toe dips but he didn't like that too much. I tried doing them with him holding onto his hands but me going backwards, holding onto him and doing toe dips didn't work very well. He did, however, let me let go of him and he would shuffle sideways along the beam by himself.
This is Danny standing on the horse. There were stairs he climbed up and once he got to the top he had to hold on to your hand. At first we had to pull him towards us to have him jump off. By the end of class he would stand up there for a few seconds and finally he would hold onto just a finger. Don't get me wrong, he didn't feel comfortable just holding onto one finger but he wanted to jump and still hold on to something.
At the end of class today Suzzie blew bubbles and the kids loved it. She even blew them while Danny was on the horse and let him jump down and pop the bubbles with his body. He thought that was fun.
