Halloween 2009

Danny went as Iron Man for Halloween. We went to Toys R Us to look for a costume and this was the only one that would fit him. He is inbetween sizes. Either they were way too long or way too short. Costumes here are very expensive. This one was around $30. Bonus!! This just happened to be the cheapest one. Most of them were going for over $45 or more.

We went to a Halloween party in the community center which was very nice and then afterwards we went Trick-Or-Treating to some of the houses here. There were tons of kids out but what was the carriest part were the little kids (ages 8-12) driving golf carts down the road at 20mph and didn't quite have "breaking" down yet.

After loading up on candy, Danny wanted to go to the Haunted House. He was the littlest kid there. I was a little bit nervous because I didn't want him to get too scared. I remember going to a Haunted Mansion when I was little and it scared the crap out of me. I didn't go back in one until I was an adult with our youth group. Wnen we saw his costume, we didn't exactly know who Iron Man was. I figured he was a Superhero. Standing outside the Hauntd House, I explained to Dany that superheros have super powers and he decided his power was being strong and brave. He said he was going to "protect me" in the Haunted House.

So, we walked in, Danny started out next to me but somehow ended up in front of me clutching my hands around him as we shuffeled through. HE IS SOOOOO BRAVE!!! He made it all the way through but at the very end he got a little bit scared so as we were walking for the last 30 seconds of the H.H. I repeatedly said, "Please don't scare us". He came out of the H.H. and was so proud of him. He told everyone that he wasn't scared and that he protected me through the H.H.

It's a good thing that Danny was there to get you through the haunted house safely. What a brave Iron Man! Does he even know who Iron Man is? YEAH for cheaper costumes and that Halloween is over!
