As part of our vacation we went to Legoland. We had lots of fun. The first thing we did was make a Lego race car, sort of like a pinewood derby car. Danny made one and then raced it down a track. He really liked making that and it took a little persuasion to get him to go to the next activity.
Everything was made out of Legos or had a Lego box shape to it. They even had a life size car made from Legos. Because it was Winter they had a little section that had man made snow. Danny liked going down the little hill. We didn't know if we would be able to go in because his shoes were partly opened toe and heel. They gave us the OK but Danny's feet were cold afterward.
One thing that they had on display was a Star Wars exhibit. They also had an exhibit of cities around the world. It was really neat to see the pyramids and the Golden Gate Bridge made out of Legos. There was even a little room that you could see the mechanics of how Legos were made. Justin and Danny went on several rides together. I didn't go on the spinning or up and down ones. I sat peacefully in the sun reading a book.
We didn't know if Danny would like Legoland because he had never been interested in Legos before. He fell in love with them and for the next few months all we liked doing is making Legos.
