February, 2008

A two weeks ago Justin and I went on a fly-back to San Fransisco with Chevron. We had a lovely time. California is beautiful. Their headquarters are in San Ramon. It is about 30 minutes from San Fransisco. They put us up in a hotel while Justin interviewed and the second night they put us up in San Fransisco in a hotel called The Trinton Hotel. It was a trip!! Inside the elevator the light was neon pink and in the other elevator the light was neon blue. Our headboard had a zebra print and the carpet was bright, so were the walls in the lobby.

We had fun riding the trolley. We rode on the outside and I was hanging on for dear life facing backwards. I was very uneasy but Justin loved it. We went to Fisherman's Wharf and saw Pier 29 where the seals were. The bush man almost scared us but someone beat him to it. The Bush Man??? There is this guy who crouches down and hides behind a bush and jumps out and startles people. I can't remember the number but he makes either $40,000 or 60,000 a year doing it. It is hilarious to watch. We saw a 55 year old woman street performer juggle 3 lit torches on "The Pole Of Death". She was standing on a pole which was resting on two 6 foot tall men's shoulders like a balance beam. It was really windy that night too. I was amazed she could do it. We also went to Ghiridelli Square and had some hot chocolate. Danny stayed with Amy and Jeff for a couple days and with Russ for a couple days.

Danny is doing well. This week he learned his right from his left and last week he learned how to rhyme. I'm teaching him piano too. We are doing very well, looking forward to life's new adventure.

I'm glad that you had a great time! Any news yet on the offer? We will be sad if you leave, but understand you need to follow the jobs. It sure has been a great two years!
