Danny turned 3 today!!!!
He had a wonderful birthday. Last night Justin put together a tricycle from his mom and dad and the Decorating Fairy came too. She decorated his room after he went to sleep so when he wakes up there are balloons and streamers and a big poster saying “Happy Birthday Daniel.” He stumbled in our room at 6am totally oblivious to the decorations. I took him back to his room to change his diaper and get him dressed and I explained the Decorating Fairy. He became very excited and kept repeating, “da deckowating fawwy.” It was so cute. He came into the kitchen and saw the tricycle and fell in love with it. He rode it all over the house and just loves it.
We had a lunch party for him with Justin and I and his sister Amy and her two daughters. We ate McDonalds. Justin made him chocolate cake this morning. He got to open his presents which were a Tonka Crane (it’s huge!!!) and a trencher/backhoe. So now we have the whole Tonka set. Once we get a place we will make him a bean pit (sand is too messy) so he can play in it. It was so cute, he and Justin were playing with the crane for about 10 minutes and all of a sudden he jumps up and starts saying, “you got me a crane, I got a crane.” As if it just occurred to him. From me he got a Wiggles cd and I’m making him a fleece Space blanket.
Russ and Carrie (my brother and his soon to be wife) came over for dinner and we had pizza. They gave him 2 puzzles. You match the number to the same number of objects on the adjacent puzzle piece.
The only bad part of today was that Danny was a little bit sick. He was kind of clingy during lunch and so he and I took a nap in the big comfy chair. He woke up with a slight fever 100.3

Thanks for having us over! It was a fun time and we are glad to have Danny around. We will miss you terribly when you move away. Doesn't Justin want to get a PhD at BYU? Happy Birthday again Daniel!!
