Well... The bird is gone. I think our cat ate it. Now we have a cat and at least 1 kitten living in our ceiling. At least this time they aren't in my bedroom ceiling. They are in the family room and you can hear them meow and their claws and sometimes a loud noise. The kitten has to be pretty small, but this has been for over 1 week so I'm guessing it is getting pretty big. The house next to us had its roof done and there was a cat with 2 newborn kittens living there. The mom got scared off with one of them but left the other behind. Our neighbor found it and has been feeding it with an eye dropper. This morning they put it out on their step and are hoping that the momma came back. If that is the case, then we probably will have an extra mouth to feed here.
I called the people who remove the cats and they said they can't come and take them out yet because the roof needs to be patched first before they put the traps in. I have no idea how long it is going to take. I've actually gotten pretty used to hearing the kitten. He loves music. Whenever I play the keyboard he shuffles over near the ceiling where I'm at. It still freaks Justin out.

I think that I'd get freaked out too. At least you know it is only cats. Still- aren't you glad you don't own the house?
Oh me gosh, that's so crazy! And I don't think the mom will come back for kittens. You'll have to let us know if she does, but I don't think that happens if someone's been feeding them. Or is that a baby bird legend? Anyway, fun times!
