For 4 months I haven't made a post and there is a lot to catch up on. I've been busy with school and and Danny and just procrastinated doing it because there would be so much catch up to do in order to eventually print my blog into a book. I finally decided that I am going to skip those 6 months and go right to what is going on now.
We had a wonderful vacation with Justin's family. Every 3 years all of the kids and grand kids meet in The Outer Banks, North Carolina for a week long vacation in a BIG beach house. We had such a great time! All of the kids got along really well and had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. We spent most of our time at the pool and the beach just relaxing and having fun together. Unfortunately my next Psych class started so I had lots of reading and homework to do. I also managed to get a book "The Last Song" and make a good dent in it. It takes place near where we were vacationing. It is a really good, clean book and it was recently made into a movie.
The house we stayed in had 8 bedrooms plus a little nook in the bottom where Ethan stayed. There was an elevator for luggage and grocery use only. I was a little bit concerned about this because Danny LOVES elevators. 3 years ago when we all went he wasn't tall enough to open the outer door but he would just stand in front of it hoping it would open. This time he knew and understood that he couldn't go in it and he was O.K. with that. The house was really nice. It had a deck on the top and you could see the ocean and the pool below. I think one of the best features of the house was that there were 2 dishwashers. There were so many of us that I think there was always one almost full or one being cleaned. The basement had a pool table and a Foosball table. The boys took the pool balls and rolled them across the table into the pockets. I don't think they knew that you use pool sticks to play the game. They never came off of the wall. I think that would be one of Danny's favorite things. He and Jason loved the pool table balls. All 3 of Justin's sisters are pregnant so the next time we get together there will be at least 3 additions, maybe a wife for Cameron, and if we are lucky a baby for us.
We are moving to Louisiana near New Orleans in about 5 weeks. I don't have any of the details yet but Justin is on another temporary assignment for around 6 months. What an adventure!!!!! I never expected to be moving this much. I figured that technically, this will be the 13th move in 13 years. What is sad is that twice we lived for 3 consecutive years in one place. It will be interesting to see first hand what the Gulf Oil Spill looks like and how it affects the people down there.
