Funazzle

On New year's Eve we had no tours scheduled.  The day before we asked our tour guide if she could write down the names of three places we wanted to go on our own the next day.  Hard Rock, Pizza Hut, and the Toy Market.  .  After eating Chinese food for 4 days we were longing for some American food.  We went downstairs to the front desk and asked them to call us a taxi.  Did I mention that they spoke NO, I mean ABSOLUTELY NO English.  Luckily, before we left Justin downloaded an App on his iPad that had common Chinese phrases.  The one we asked was for a taxi.  The manager flagged one down for us and when we showed him the word Pizza Hut on the paper the first guy declined to take us there.  Actually, we wanted to go to the McDonald's but it was right next to Pizza Hut and that is the name our tour guide wrote down.  The next cab took us there but we could tell he wasn't sure where we wanted to go.  We said the name McDonald's but I suggested Justin draw a yellow M on his iPad.  The guy understood and we headed to McDonald's.  We didn't rush when we got up that morning so we got to McDonald's so we didn't get there for the pancakes and sausage.  We were so lucky that one of the girls working there spoke some English.  We did a lot of pointing to the menu and holding up our fingers for the meal numbers.

Before we left for our trip, I went online and found a place called Fundazzle that looked like a McDonalds play land on steroids.  After our McBreakfast we got a cab and tried explaining where Fundazzle was and it was difficult.  I had the name Fundazzle in Chinese and where it was near but not street names in Chinese.  He dropped us off near the stadium and we walked for about a half of a mile looking for it.  Where we got off there was a map so we kinda knew where we were going but not all of their street names are on their streets, just the main ones.  After walking a while in the freezing cold we stopped into a night club to warm up then headed back out.  We found Fundazzle.  My first impression was, "You have got to be kidding me!"  It looked like a little store front in a strip mall.  The surprise was when we went inside.  They sold educational toys in the front of the store and then in the back was the play area.  It was a small warehouse that had climbing equipment and a little kid section but the coolest thing was that the ball pit was the length of the whole wall.
