Magellan's CrossThis is considered the birthplace of Catholicism in the Philippines. Suposedly, the cross that Magellan planted in 1521 is incased inside this wooden cross to protect it from people who want to take home a souviner.
This is part of a stone carving at the Basica Minore del Santo Nino, the first Catholic church built in the Philippines. I wanted to include a shot of the candles because there were rows of candles that were burning and the wax dripped everywhere.
This is the speed boat that we took from the island of Cebu to the island of Bohol. It only took about 1 1/2 hours and they even showed a movie. Unfortunately it was a movie that was in English, translated into Tagalig which was then translated back into English subtitles. We missed most of what was going on in the movie and now I don't even remember which one it was. I remember the one on the way back was Home Alone 2 but the volume was very low and there were no subtitles on that one.
